The gentleman at the counter was wonderful, friendly and welcoming. The food was hot fresh delicious and plenty of it! The only negative is I really wish they would bring back fried rice with onions and beansprouts it was sooo much better! Every time I try somewhere else in Salem I'm disappointed so here I am right back at Mei Hoo!

I discovered this place while I was at the carwash. I could smell it across the parking lot. I've been going there for the last 6 weeks. The best food around. And I've eaten at a lot of Chinese food restaurants lol. And they do pack their dishes!

We just moved to Salem over the summer and were looking for a new good Chinese food place.. we ordered from a different place in Salem and it was super expensive and the food was bland. We gave Mei Hoo a chance today and were so impressed! The food was hot and fresh, and the portions were so big! The dinner meals are literally enough for two meals! To top it off, the customer service and prices were just as awesome as the food!! I would highly recommend.. we will definitely be coming back!

I've ordered takeout several times. Food is great. The man who delivers is always extremely nice. Today, I chose pick up, instead of delivery, by mistake. When it wasn't there when expected, I checked my order, and saw that I checked pick up. I called, and explained. The man on the phone was more than helpful. He said he was leaving right then to deliver it. I so appreciate great customer service, and this was top notch! Thank you so much!

Yes it’s a time warp from the 80s inside but it’s clean and I checked out the kitchen and it was basically spotless. The chicken and wonton soup is absolutely delicious and a deal for five dollars.

Mei Hoo is so yummy! I have gotten take out there several times and it never disappoints. My order is always ready quickly. The food is tasty and the servings are ample. I like that the pu pu platter includes pork fried rice in the price.
